Hello again.

My 79th birthday came into reality. It all happened on March 29th. I am thankful to God that he has given me this time to write books and minister to those who follow me. I am amazed that I am still above the grass and not below. You never know what life will bring your way. I guess we all hope whatever comes will be a blessing and not another disappointment. One of my books deals with being happy. It is called, “How To Be Happy.” It is worth the read.

Easter is today, March 31st and I am glad to have been alive to celebrate the event. After all, it was when Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again to conquer death, hell, and the grave. That means I am free to serve the Lord and live life to his glory. I hope you also celebrated Jesus this Easter.

Today is April 1st, commonly known as “April Fool’s Day.” However, nowadays, for a lot of folks, every day is “Fool’s Day.” The Bible says, “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.” Those that deny Christ and reject the God of all creation are fools and they live out their lives as foolish people. Let us not align our hearts with their thinking. We are better than that.

Word for the day… (A reprint from the March newsletter) … Are you dealing with a lot of stuff? Is your mind cluttered with needless mind chatter that blocks your peace? God wants us to settle down and be at peace in our daily actions. The best way to do that is to trust in the Lord and rely on him to direct your actions and thoughts. This will get rid of the clutter and calm our restless souls. Here is a poem I wrote many years ago that talks to this matter.

Clutter

Clutter keeps the mind confused,
As images dance through the night.
Lost among those unimportant thoughts,
Are the dreams that once shined bright.

An endless parade of fear and doubt,
Crowds the mind to destroy our day.
Ever soaring on the wings of the soul,
Until it has formed an evil array.

But clutter is by one’s choice,
Of those who dance to its beat.
Better to face imaginations’ due
Then to fall into utter defeat.

Be Quiet!!! Is our spirit’s desperate cry,
As we call upon the name of the Lord.
Silence is our heart’s desired prayer,
Until our minds are again restored.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life” Proverbs 4:23. We make the final choices in life that either lead us astray or closer to the Lord. We chose what enters our hearts and fills our minds. May we always choose the path of righteousness and the way of peace.

Hello again

Soon we will celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s on the 14th. Then comes my 42nd wedding anniversary to my lovely wife, Marilyn. That happens on the 22nd.

Bible Seminar… I am considering hosting a “Bible Seminar” at one of the Marion County libraries in March. I have not yet set the date, but I would like to know if any of my email and Facebook friends are interested in the Bible Seminar. The topic will be “The End of The World.” It will be a 90-minute session with questions and answers at the end. We will cover why planet earth is going to be destroyed; how it will happen; who can escape the coming destruction? What happens next? What signs can we look for of the end? who is the Antichrist; and several other related topics.

Word for the day…This is a word from Jesus, spoken when he was on earth over 2000 years ago. It was recorded by the apostle John, found in his gospel letter, chapter 3 verse 16.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

If we believe in him, as the only begotten Son of God, we will escape end time judgment of the damned and realize the love of almighty God all the days of our life here on earth. Now, that’s a good word for our every day. (The Biblical meaning of “Believing” is to rely upon, adhere to, and to trust in. It is not just a passing acknowledgment that he exists. It is a life commitment that changes your destiny.)

Well, here we are, safe and sound in 2024. What will this year bring? For sure, a national election and a new president, plus other political positions. Hopefully, Israel will win their war against genocide. America will settle down into a peace and safety cloud of passive resistance. Gas prices will drop, inflation will decrease, unemployment will fade away and life will be good for all Americans. I know what you are thinking. It’s a pipedream, right? You never know.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, we all have our own reality. Yours is different from mine. We may live in this world together but it’s not the same for all of us. Here’s what’s going on with Marinelli Christian Books. A new reality that will be more helpful to other Christian writers.

I Am Just Saying…

We all need to discern the times in which we live. Is our generation the one that will see Jesus physically return to earth? Is our modern-day church the church that Jesus said was, “Luke Warm” and that he will reject? Where are we in relationship to the end of the world? The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17 (Check out my book, “The End of The World, From The Beginning” It’s on my website.)

Our guide is the Bible and the more than 3500 promises given to us so we have plenty of hooks to hang our faith on. That’s how we walk by faith…by living in the Word of God and applying its truths into our every situation.

Hello Again

It’s August 2023 and we are still above ground. The view is great on this side of the grass. The sun is shining. The birds are chirping and all is well with some of us.

My Book Of The Month…

Here’s a great read for August. It’s called, “It Came To Pass” It’s a Christian fiction book on a story about two high school seniors that joined the army right after graduation only to end up in the invasion of Normandy during WWII.  Much of the battle story was taken from public records. I am determined to walk by faith and not by what I see happening around me. There are many voices out there that are nothing more than false news, false doctrines and false teachings. What other folks say and do should not be a guide for what we do.

Our guide is the Bible and the more than 3500 promises given to us so we have plenty of hooks to hang our faith on. That’s how we walk by faith…by living in the Word of God and applying its truths into our every situation.

Hello again.

The 4th of July = Freedom

It’s that time of year, when we celebrate the freedom we enjoy and the independence from the expectations of other countries that sought to rule over us. We just past Memorial Day and remembered all the sacrifices made by our young men that served in the military during previous wars. We realized the true cost of freedom. However, we may not realize the true cost of liberty.

Liberty, as I see it, is the ability to live above your circumstances and the expectations of others, no matter if it is another country trying to destroy the US or a person seeking to lord over you by spreading lies, pushing false doctrines, or even using critical remarks to intimidate you.

I believe that we can only be truly free if we follow the teaching of Jesus. He is recorded by John, in his gospel as saying, “I have come that they (that’s us) might have life and that life may be in abundance.” John 10:10

Who wants to be free? Come to Jesus in prayer and lay your concerns at the foot of the cross. He died for you, taking your sins upon himself.

Planning For The Future

I am not a couch potato. I still plan for the future but not like I did when I was 25.

My plans for the future are three-fold:

1. To hear the voice of God and follow his leading.
2. To discern the times in which I live relative to the coming of the Lord
3. To walk by faith and not by sight.

If Jesus is your shepherd, then you are his sheep, right? Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice. He is speaking to us in the Spirit. All we need to do is be still and listen to know his will.
