The story of Jonah and the whale is one of the most well-known sagas in the Old Testament. It is the story of a disobedient prophet who rejects his assignment from God, which was to give a prophetic word of judgment to Nineveh, a heathen nation.The overriding theme of the book is God’s forgiveness upon the repentant soul.
